Trends and Sisters

I love fashion. I love how the seasons determine our mood. How the smallest of things inspire us to create and perform out of our element. I love how it has so much more to offer than just clothes. Its something to look forward to in the morning and within your day to day travels. Lord knows if theres not one thing I admire more than my own style but the individualism of others. I say someone else’s clothes are always better than your own. Like for some reason I find the best items on the return rack. But we all know its not who or what you wear but how you wear it. 

To say that I follow trends would be a bald face lie but to say I don’t would be an even bigger lie. First of all I don’t exactly believe in trends. At this point everything has already been done and being recycled. This is something I have always noticed, even in my younger years when I wasn’t exactly interested in fashion. But I remember sooo vividly how my sister would rock her afro and I mean you would think she had 3 heads. I was raised in a way that even if I wasn’t familiar with something I knew that there were different people from all walks of life. So I have never ever ever been flabbergasted by a trend I wasn’t aware of. 

I do think its interesting how I will never admit to looking up to a celebrity as much as I look up to my sisters. Its amazing to have my wardrobe tripled because of my 5 sisters. We range from sizes 0-10 and ages 18-29. We have many similar interest but also many differences. As much as we pass for twins and could swap features without anyone knowing the difference. We have our distinct faces and our own personal styles, which happen to always grow together. With all that we find a way to share some clothing. Whatever was happening for us in our household that would be the set trend for the school year or summer time. If this sister was wearing high waisted bell bottoms then you can bet another sister would be doing the same by next month. 

I do believe I have the most gorgeous sisters that have the whole package. I have considered them my competition since forever and will continue to look up to them and the new items in their closet.
